ADVANTAGES OF MARBLE
– Highly aesthetic, luxurious natural stones.
– Durable – if maintained properly
– Can take heavy loads
– Versatile material
DISADVANTAGES OF MARBLE
– Needs to be polished periodically
– Italian marble is usually very soft and prone to cracks
– Highly porous and stainable
– Therefore the surface should be sealed properly
– It is not recommended on kitchen counters
– Acid sensitive
– Brittle material- needs extreme care while handling
