Day lighting is most important when it comes to interiors. Proper lighting in an interior space creates mood, enhances materials, and energizes a place.
The illusion of space is created when light reflects off of the surfaces of the walls.
Three types of lighting used in interiors are:
1. Task lighting- for specific tasks such as reading, cooking etc.
2. Accent lighting – used to highlight an object or wall
3. Ambient lighting – overall illumination
